Thanks for your reply re my search for parts for my Sony EX57ES receiver. I clicked on "Reply," but nothing happened, so I'm sending a new message.

The whole reason that I'm trying to salvage my old Sony receiver is that I've looked into replacing it, but I keep getting told that the electronics industry today considers it products to be like Bic pens---use them for a couple of years and throw them away. I've also been told that the sound won't be as good as with older models.

I can only afford to spend $500 or less. Do you have any suggestions or comments?
