I am/was late with my truck payment (2months behind) don't they have to tell me i am at risk of getting it repoed before they can do it?

Not unless you have the only creditor in the world who agreed to a contract that requires notice.  Otherwise, the terms of the contract are clear and the payment is due on the due date.  The next day is a breach of the financing contract.

You should know that you are at risk.  If you are 2 months behind, it is pretty obvious that you have failed to keep your end of the agreement.
