  1. Hi,

Have a look  at this site and see if you can find something you can make use of:

    Ciao!

  2. Most of them are religious traditions.

In Naples, every year, the day of Saint Gennaro (Naples' most important saint), a miracle takes place and it is a great event for all the city: the blood of the saint, which have been conserved throughout the years, liquefies again. So all people celebrate and pray.

That can sound creepy, but it is a great moment for all the people.

Also "processioni" are typical in all Italy, expecially in the South: in religious events, all the people of a town walk together throu the streets, singing, or playing music, or praying, usually lifting a statue (Mary, for example) or flowers, and they go from a square to an important church, or from the church to a cimitery, or some important places concerning the religious event.

Naples is famous for its enourmous New Year's Eve celebration tradition. That is: music, fireworks and noise all over, the city becomes crazy, even dangerous sometimes.

Don't know much about Calabria, sorry.

Bari is a big city in Puglia. I guess they have many handcraft works there, but I'm not sure.

    bye!!
