Reported for goin 180in a 110cop matched my car,pulled me over hes going to call me later.can i stil get fined

so anyways i was on the highway going home and i was going over the speed limit but i was not going more than 180 like reported. but a cop saw my car and pulled me over because of the complaint. he said he was going to get a hold of the person that filed the complaint and get back to me tomorrow. can i still get a ticket or does the cop have to see me himself?

Yes he can issue you a ticket and you could contest it in court or you may get a complaint and summons to attend court in relation to the offence of speeding and the witness will provide a statement of their observations and attend any hearing to give evidence.

Any conversation (or admissions; partial or otherwise) you had with the officer may have been recorded as well and this can be presented at the hearing

You should ditch and go to mexico. J/k if he didnt see you that filed report is no good in order for a cop to write a ticket he must see that action.
