Question:

Reporting my best friend for animal cruelty/neglect!?!?

I asked a question about my friend not spaying her cat earlier and people told me to report her to the ASPCA.... and sadly, I think it might need to happen...

She has 1 dog, which she has had for years and never taken to the vet. and she has a famale cat and male cat.. the famale cat is 15 months old and just had her second litter. My friend threw the first litter outside when they were old enough... none of her animals have EVER seen a vet, even when he male cat was attacked by a dog and seriously hurt. [He is ok now]

Should I report her? and if yes, how? she doesn't have an actually street address... it is kinda in the country.

  1. Honestly, I wouldn't bother. Yes it's sad and unfair of her, but even if your local ASPCA did anything about it (do you have any idea how many calls they get?), all they would do is show up and give her a warning, maybe a fine. At most they'd just take the animals, and she'd only get more and start the cycle all over again.

Have you tried talking to her, since you say she's your friend? I'd sit her down and and show her that even if she can't bring herself to take better care of her animals just out of morality, then she could also face legal charges. A lot of people don't realize that legal action can be taken against them regarding animals.

    Good luck. :-)

  2. I think you should. I don't like when people do that to animals.

  3. It sounds like you do need to report her. Just be sure to do it anonymously so you don't ruin your friendship. Although I'm not sure I'd really want to be friends with someone like that.

  4. Report her, she deserves it.

  5. find out if someone local can go there the ASPCA dose not do much they are all talk they don't stop the racing of horses before they are able to take the weight of a rider they are in it for the money and the Glory not the animals.

  6. Even if she's a good friend tell her you will report to your local police for animal cruelty if she doesn't start taken better care of her animals then report her.  Everybody has a street address, she just might not know it and if they don't know where it is then show them. The lives of the animals are alittle more important then a friendship in my opinion.

  7. Yes, this sounds borderline reportable. You can report this to the local police, they can get in touch with the proper cruelty agency in your area.  I take it you use po boxes,  me too. Just decsribe the location to the authorities, they will figure it out. Remeber to stay annonymous if she is a good friend.
