I was working at a small, locally owned company that specializes in a debt settlement program. Come to find out, they were misrepresenting to all of their clients (through employees like me) the actual program. We sold a program for an attorneys office, and I have my clients calling my cell phone because they are being told after not making payments to their creditors (part of the program) that they now need to "hire their own representation" in their state to help them from judgemnts, ect. I feel like i was turned into a tool of lies and deceit to steal money from people when they are all ready at their lowest. People have lost thousands and thousands of dollars to a company that promised to take care of their creditors, and now these people are REALLY screwed because they were misguided by that company, who was supposed to be the expert. Ooh also, i made $1500 in 5 months, working about 50 hours a week.... that is a problem, but the least of my worries at this point. Who do I call? Should I get an attorney of my own to protect myself and my good name from the misguided actions of my boss? Sooooo concerned.........

  1. Contact your States Attorney Generals office. They might also be interested in the practices of this business.  The Depart of Labor should be able to help you with your own pay issues.

  2. I hope you can do something about these creeps!  I'd start with the Federal Labor Board.  If they can't help you, they'll know where you should start.
