Question:

Reporting someone else's debt to credit agency.?

I sold some goods on Ebay a while ago and they were received by the buyer. However, I didn't used tracked postage so the buyer is fraudulently claiming that he didn't receive the goods. Paypal believed him and took my money and gave it to him. Now he has the goods and the money.

I have their name and address, can I register this debt with a credit agency?

  1. You have to pay a membership fee to a credit reporting agency to be able to report information about debtors.   Also, maybe the stuff did get lost in the mail.   I have ordered items from reputable stores and have had tracking on the packages and the items were lost and or damaged.   USPS is the worst!    Since stuff does get lost, stolen and damaged in the mail let this be a lesson to you to track your stuff and maybe have the person buy insurance on it in the future.

  2. Nope, since Paypal sided with him. You have to take the matter up with Ebay or PayPal. Didn't you get a recepit for the shipping or anything? I guess if you can't prove you sent the items, you'll just have to take it as a lesson learned to be more careful in the future. No offense to you.  There are too many scammers out there so you have to cover yourself.
