  1. hi, show up in seasonal UD.  this is the business suit of the military.  this is a business trip.

  2. I'd wear the dress.

  3. You always report to your new commander in dress uniform and with a salute (unless your not in Army and/or told otherwise). Army is the only branch that salutes indoors when they report. When you report, you salute any rank higher than your own, regardless of how low. But never report to anyone of equal or lesser rank. Do not alter your uniform until told to do so. Make sure your uniform is squared away!

  4. Wow, I can't believe some of these answers!  *laugh*

ACUs if during the duty day.  Civilian clothes if not.

But check your orders carefully.  There may be instructions in there.

    Or, alternatively, read this: http://www.bragg.army.mil/18abn/inpro.ht...

  5. Class A uniform for travel and reporting to a new assignment, unless your orders indicate otherwise.

  6. Check your orders.  DH's last new duty station required him to show up in utilities because they went straight to work.  Failing any other guidance he prefers either dress uniform or the uniform of the day if he knows what it is.

  7. I am stationed at Bragg and have been stationed in Korea and Ft. Hood. Each time i have reported in civilian clothes. When you "report" all you are really doing is singing in at a CQ desk or welcome center. Your orders should tell you where you need to sign in at. for example. if you are going to the 82nd you will report to 82nd replacement, if your are going to a SFG you will report to 18 replacment. When you sign in on the last day of your leave, the NCO on duty will give you all the info you need and assign you a room if need be.. if you are still in doubt, you can’t go wrong by showing up in ACU's and patrol cap. UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD OTHERWISE.

  8. Dress - you can never go wrong. Good luck!

  9. Service Alpha Uniform

  10. If you know the uniform of the day, that is what you should wear. But, if you don't know what the uniform of the day is, you can't go wrong with wearing a dress uniform. (At least that was how it was back when I was in the Navy.)

  11.   Both times PCSed I reported in civies, but it was after 1700 when reportedtd to Bragg I went to 19th replacement so 82nd replacement may be different but they had a sign up that said before 1700 you must be in duty uniform which is ACU's. So after 1700 civies before ACU's not Class A's I have never seen any one report in Class A's that old school army I dont even think you have to travel in Class A's any more but any way hope that helps.
