Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso in high spirits for German Grand Prix – MotoGP news
Repsol Honda team’s Italian rider, Andrea Dovizioso is inspired from his second place finish at the Mugello Grand Prix and is motivated for the upcoming eni Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland.
Dovizioso said, “We arrive in Germany strong and competitive. The second place in front of the Italian crowd at Mugello gave us an extra boost to continue working and improving race after race.”
The Italian was strong and fast in front of his home crowd after being second on podium at Mugello. He was the fastest Honda RC212V rider on the final time sheet. After his podium finish in Italy, Dovizioso has collected four podiums in the ongoing 2011
MotoGP season.
Dovizioso was also strong at the official MotoGP test held following the race day at same Italian venue, Mugello. He clocked the third fastest time in the final time sheet. It was an important test session for Dovizioso and his team where they tested new
components and tuned the bike as it required pace enhancements. The tested new swing arm was a positive step for him which improved lap times.
After a good race finish and test session the team is determined to start the German race weekend. The expected change in Dovizioso’s RC212V will be the new swing arm for German Grand Prix following the positive feedback at the Mugello test.
Dovizioso added, “We will work hard from the first practice session, as we did in Mugello, this is very important to prepare the machine for the race. I'm very motivated, we are third in Championship and we want to continue gaining important points for the
season.”
The Italian feels good about racing at Sachsenring, Germany. He likes the atmosphere and the rushing crowd for high motivation.
Discussing the German racetrack, he said that the circuit is quite narrow as compared to the usual width. It has plenty of left corners and has a slow first section which streams into a much faster second half of the circuit. Let’s see how all the drivers
fare at the upcoming event in Germany this weekend.
