Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa fully fit for the upcoming Motorland Aragon GP – MotoGP news
Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa is fully fit for the upcoming Motorland Aragon GP after a two-week break since the Misano round.
He is feeling fit to deliver a high-end performance in Spain. The 14th MotoGP event is due to take place on September 18, 2011.
The Spanish rider is very excited to race on his home ground after missing the Catalunya event following his injury at Le Mans. His injuries have left him out of the 2011 title race but he is still optimistic to fight back. He finished second in the 2010
Motorland Aragon event.
Pedrosa said, “I have very good memories of the Grand Prix of Aragon, last year we started well and we had a good race. I'm satisfied with our performance in the past few weeks and I feel better every day.”
In the two-week break, he rested to regain his lost energy after racing at the stressful tracks. Considering his 2010 performance, the crew will be utilising the technical data to help him for the 2011 event.
Pedrosa further commented on his third home event that a large numbers of fans gather to watch each MotoGP event in the country.
From Pedrosa’s point of view, the Aragon circuit is technically strong including a combination of slow and fast bends. Some of the corners are complicated due to their blind entry. To tackle those corners, the rider has to be very conscious.
The Spaniard is aiming to set the best possible race setup during the practice sessions in order to do well during the raceday.
Pedrosa added, “The data we have from last year can help us on this and it will be important to start in a good direction but we cannot relax. I'm excited to see the Spanish fans again after missing the Catalunya race and I hope the home support will give
me an extra boost so that we can enjoy this race together.”
Currently, he holds the fourth seat in the 2011 MotoGP championship with a difference of 35 points from teammate, Andrea Dovizioso.
