After a two weeks gap, MotoGP action will come alive this weekend, which is to be fourth round of the running young season. Spanish rider in Repsol Honda team, Dani Pedrosa has won the third round at Portugal which shortened his point gap to the point’s
leader, Jorge Lorenzo. Honda team-mate, Casey Stoner, was third on the podium at Portuguese Grand Prix and is on third position on the point table of World Championship. Third team-mate, Andrea Dovizioso, is leaning at sixth place after Valentino Rossi (fourth)
and Nicky Hayden (fifth).
Dani Pedrosa has celebrated victories at Le Mans in 2003 in 125cc category. In 2004, he won the 250cc in premier class. He has not been able to taste a win at the French venue, as the best he could achieve was two third place finishes in 2006 and 2009. He
has also achieved five pole seats at the French track.
Dani Pedrosa, said, “It's been the first week in a long time in which I have felt calm and confident, especially after the race we had in Portugal. It was a great release for me to feel good on the bike after the operation and makes me see things differently.”
The Aussie rider, has had mixed ends to his racing stories at Le Mans. He had a single rostrum place in 2007, now he will be fighting for a good end on his new 2011 RC212V.
Casey Stoner, said, "In Estoril I was very happy to retain third and keep some valuable points for the Championship. We've always had some reasonable results in Le Mans but never really quite good enough.”
Stoner is keen to use the free practice sessions for enhancing race setup to the most preferable mode and believes that Honda will perform well at the fourth round.
Italian team-mate, Andrea Dovizioso, has had a race win in 2004 with 125cc category and third position at podium in the 2010 season.
Andrea Dovizioso, said, “After the improvements made in the post GP test in Estoril, we arrive in Le Mans more competitive. We will use the new clutch we tested in Portugal and take advantage of the set-up solutions tested there.”
Dovizioso views that Le Mans circuit is a slow GP circuit and feels that the track has lost its essence of fascination, after the amendments made in past years. His scores at the track have been good in past and he is determined to continue his good finishes
at France, sighting the podium as his goal.
