what reptile makes the bast pet they must have legs

As mentioned above any reptile makes a good pet.

It's how much time and love you are willing to put into the reptile. I'm fond of iguanas, but as a starter pet they require alot of work and attention.

I only ask that you do lots of research before making your decision. There are tons of reptiles in rescue facilities that were bought by people who didn't know what they were getting into.

Well, with legs, some reptile pets that are appropriate for most people as a first:

Leopard Gecko

Crested Gecko

Fat-tailed Gecko

Bearded Dragon

Maybe red-footed tortoises?
