Reptile question?

i just had 2 hermit crabs for well over a year. there must have been a disease cuz they died at the same time. now i want something that is more social. it also has to fit in a 20 gallon tank. i really want to be able to play with it. price range up to about 35$. explenation would also help of why ti would be a pet. include cons.

ball python.  they're super sweet, don't smell, only eat about twice a month to 3 times a month, only need lid, heat lamp, water bowl, and hid-a-way log, don't bite, can take them almost anywhere as long as they allow pets or you hide him in a bag (thats what i do with my red tail boa, he loves the grocery store lol) and they only get about 4 feet within there total life span which is about the same as a dog if you take care of it. you only have to clean there cage once a week too after they p**p the one time they p**p after they eat : ). snakes make the perfect pet. and they're really cool to show to your friends and freak people out with. hope i helped. -holly**

i think a leopard gecko would be a great pet i have 16 of them and they are very good pet .they apreciate handling they are quite calm in your hands not always trying to escape. they eat crikets but you can also give them mealworms or waxworm.

if your parents change their mind a corn snake would be a good pet snake for start. i just bougth one and he is nice and calm and never bite me.

Rats! 2 female rats would love your 20 gallon tank. You would need to buy:  A lid, a waterer, food, food dish& bedding. Rats LOVE toilet paper and paper towel tubes!!! You can of course buy more toys for them. They are very social and love to be around people!

The cons, a glass tank will have to be cleaned weekly or it can smell.
