  1. Republicans enjoy killing animals for fun, Democrats do not.

    That kinda says it all.

  2. "A Republican will p*ss on you.  A Democrat will give you an umbrella then p*ss on you." -Bill Maher-

  3. The Democratic Party is one of two major political parties in the United States, the other being the Republican Party. It is the oldest political party in the United States and among the oldest in the world.

The Democratic Party traces its origins to the Democratic-Republican Party, founded by Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and other influential opponents of the Federalists in 1792. Since the division of the Republican Party in the election of 1912, it has consistently positioned itself to the left of the Republican Party in economic as well as social matters. The economically left-leaning activist philosophy of Franklin D. Roosevelt, which has strongly influenced American liberalism, has shaped much of the party's economic agenda since 1932. Roosevelt's New Deal coalition usually controlled the national government until the 1970s. The civil rights movement of the 1960s has continued to inspire the party's liberal principles, despite having lost the more conservative South in the process.

In 2004, it was the largest political party, with 72 million voters (42.6% of 169 million registered) claiming affiliation. Since the 2006 midterm elections, the Democratic Party is the majority party for the 110th Congress; the party holds an outright majority in the House of Representatives and the Democratic caucus (including two independents) constitutes a majority in the United States Senate. Democrats also hold a majority of state governorships and control a plurality of state legislatures. The party's presumptive nominee for President of the United States in the upcoming 2008 election is Senator Barack Obama of Illinois

The Republican Party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States of America, along with the Democratic Party. It is often referred to as the Grand Old Party or the GOP.

Founded in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers, Republican Party rose to prominence with the election of Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president. The party presided over the American Civil War and Reconstruction and was harried by internal factions and scandals toward the end of the 19th century. Today, the Republican Party supports a conservative platform (as far as American politics are concerned), with further foundations in economic liberalism, fiscal conservatism, and social conservatism.

The current U.S. President, George W. Bush, is the 19th Republican to hold that office. Republicans currently fill a minority of seats in both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives, hold a minority of state governorships, and control a minority of state legislatures. The party's presumptive nominee for President of the United States in the upcoming 2008 election is Senator John McCain of Arizona. It is currently the second largest party with 55 million registered members, encompassing roughly one third of the electorate.

  4. Republicans do things to support the people who make the most money but this ends up costing everyone else money. They say they are against welfare but more people need welfare from their policies. They do not want a girl who gets pregnant to be able to go to a doctor for an abortion but to go to what used to be called a back ally butcher. They are pro-war, they are for debt, they are for job loss. They are for the richest people to be able to control everyone under them. They only care about people who can pay them so they work for rich people so they are owed favors...............Democrats believe we are all in this world together. If someone is hurting we can all reach out & help & the more we help the more helpers we have & we have a stronger foundation in our own country. If we give people the basics they will be able to function & they will be tax payers which helps us all. They are for everyone to have the opportunity to live up to their potential. The foundation that is strong makes the rest able to stand strong. People who have worked hard for a house can now lose their job & not have health insurance. Land in the hosipital & end up losing their house. We need health insurance for all & it has worked in other countries but republicans are against everything that helps the working class people. Many of them are the working class so it shows they either don't think it will happen to them, don't care about others or our brainwashed by fox news & others media that are owned by the republcan party/ Rupurt Murdock or they are just not intelligent people & can't figure this out...If you can watch the convention on this week you will see the dems talk about the economy, health, family while the republicans will talk about war & slamming others & then back to war again.

  5. They are both neo-liberal globalists run by the banking and energy cartels and elitist think tanks.

There is no difference between the red or blue puppet in this three ring circus,

no matter which horse wins, the owner of the race track still wins.

  6. Republicans:

    * Rely on fear to promote a military agenda

    * Shift wealth to the wealthy using tax breaks for the upper class and corporations

    * Believe that government has not responsibility for the care of its citizens unless they're wealthy or corporations (corporate bail-outs but against rescue plan for homeowners)

    * Believe that small government means to legislate every small facet of our lives from birth control and women's health to the definition of marriage

    * Do not believe in basic human rights for all people regardless of gender, race, religion, or sexuality

    * Support the decline of our environment while giving tax breaks to oil companies and giving money to airlines and automakers

    * Believe that a capitalist market will self-correct, even though they give the aforementioned tax breaks and bail-outs

    * Support harsher punishment for criminals and don't care about prevention

    * Think that health care should only be affordable to the wealthy

    * Believe that if poor people didn't want to be poor, they'd work harder (never mind that they barely scrape a living wage from two jobs working 60+ hours a week)

*Believe in freedom of religion as long as you're Christian

    Democrats:

    * Support equal rights for all people, including the freedom of and from religion, and the right to marry the person (consenting adult) you love

    * Support a fair redistribution of wealth for a healthier economy

    * Support prevention of crime through education and community programs

    * Believe that everyone wants to become self-sufficient and want to provide all people with the opportunity to better themselves

    * Want to improve our infrastructure and build up renewable wind and solar energy, providing more jobs, clean energy, and a better environment for us all

    * Believe that all full-time workers have the right to make a living wage

    * Support quality health care for everyone as a right of American citizens through a universal health care system

    * Believe in the American dream that anyone who works hard should have the chance to become anything they want through making education more available and raising the minimum wage
