Question:

Republican and the lord?

Why do Republicans constantly refer to democrats as "Godless".

I have seen so many YA republicans who go on and on about god and how democrats are godless for not following the path they do. Not all republicans, but a lot of them do.

1. Separation of Church and State. ITS THE 1ST AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION. The nation was created on the basis of not mixing the two.

2. I believe in God, but I am not Republican, do not call me godless, you know nothing.

3. Just because democrats believe in pro-choice does not make them a sinner in gods eyes. I am sick of those responses too.

4. Stop supporting your presidential candidate because he follows your same religion. I am saying that to those who only choose because of that specific reason.

I am not stating that all Republicans do this, not at all, I know plenty of well educated Republicans who have valid reasons for voting the way they do and I completely respect that.

But those who say that "God will punish us for being different"

Please get out of your clam shells.

  1. 1. I always thought separation of church and state was an idea, not an actual part of the constitution.

    2. I believe in God, too. So do millions of others. But saying you do doesn't cover up your actions. Killing innocent babies doesn't say you do.

    3. Yes, it does. But fear not, we are all sinners and we all have fallen short of the glory of God.

    4. I support McCain because he is experienced, strong in his opinions, and has chosen a strong VP. Also, I despise Barry, the self-ordained messiah.

  2. 1) this country was founded FOR religious freedom freedom so that didn't have to be members of the Church of England and they could practice their own form of Christianity.

2)Godless - killing unborn babies; calling homosexuality good; overtaxing (stealing) our hard earned money; ACLU - against any Christianity and for the godless.

  3. 1. You're wrong. The first amendment doesn't prohibit the mixing of politics and religion, is simply prohibits the government from establishing a religion - a big difference.

    2. I know nothing.

    3. Allowing abortion - especially late term abortion is clearly in contrast with most religious belief systems. Since religion normally trumps politics in the view of believers, allowing a state to sanction murder is incomprehensible. That being said, I don't think Republicans are doing enough to curb abortion and abortion access.

    4. I will follow the candidate that best matches my values - religion is a big component of that. I would find it silly to follow a candidate that does not share my values.

I never said anything about banning anything - you make too many assumptions. Christians aren't the only ones who oppose murder, er I mean abortion. In fact, it isn't only religious people who object to it. You're logic would equate to "gee, Hitler has some wierd beliefs about Jews, but boy he has a great economic plan."

  4. I did not read all of your tirade....uh, I mean question, but I saw enough to get your drift.  The Communist, (AKA : democrat), Party is basically Godless.

    Unrestrained Abortion Rights.

    Homosexual/L*****n Marriages made Legal.

Disdain, and Disrespect for Christian Values.

    Just to Name Three !

    MINISTER

    S.F.C.U.

  5. I dont think God likes evil parties like the republicans

  6. My parents are the most Christian people you could ever meet.

Go church every Sunday. Week Nights. Sunday Nights.

Don't curse. Only listen to Gospel music...etc etc...They don't just talk, they live their lives right also. I wish I could say the same but I'm not there yet. They are not Republicans.

I believe in the Separation of church and state. If you don't believe being g*y is morally right (and it is not harming you in any way), don't be g*y. If you don't want to have an abortion don't have an abortion. If you want your kids to pray in school, find a group and say a little prayer every morning or before lunch. I have no idea why some Republicans believe they are somehow God's people.

  7. That's ironic. I'm agnostic and I'm Republican so I don't know what your talking about. Thank you come again.

Do you have any references where a Republican said "God will punish you"? I've never heard a Republican say that.

  8.                         Accually the first amenment says that the government will not interfere with the pactices of the church. If you would look up the constitution on the internet you will see.

Demacrates focus on helping the poor and needy using the peoples money not out of their own pocket.

Republicans believe providing jobs for people to take care of themselves.

I am a christian conservitive and I know what you mean. I sometimes feel that Demacrates are sinners. acually everyone who is born on this earth is a sinner excepted Jesus.  Jesus made it possible for our sins to be forgiven.

You do not believe in choice but you believe in abortion. why I say that is if a friend of yours wanted to keep her unborn baby, she has no husband and out of a job.would your put your arms around her and say thats your choice and offer to help or would you think or say your nuts and try to talk her out of it.

People like to think they are for choice. Their thoughts are abortion.

  9. maybe if we recruited televangelist p**n star mellissa scot (for VP)it would convince them , they seem to operate on that sleazy level .

  10. Actually, the Constitution mentions nothing about separation of Church and State. It simply states that Congress "shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." The rest is open to interpretation.

As far as Republicans calling Democrats Godless, I haven't done that -- so it's a case of the entire group being judged for the actions of one or two posters.

As far as Pro Choice goes, sorry. I believe that certain instances of abortion, in particular partial birth abortion, where the baby is removed alive from the mother's womb and allowed to die, is a sin in God's eyes. Like it or lump it.

I'm a Christian. I'll support a President who's Christian. I'll also support a president with Christian beliefs, or with a solid belief in God. I will not, however support a Muslim because of their belief in Sharia law and the destruction of Jews, Christians, and Israel.

Stick that in your clam shell..

  11. cause in the republican's minds jesus was wearing the american flag and sneakers not a robe and sandals.

  12. 1st amendment says that congress will make no law that endorses one religion over another.

The term Godless has come about because many of the positions that democrats take. Positions that are offensive to God, based on biblical writings.  Such as the varied sexual behaviors (sins).

The abortion debate, pro-choice is still pro-abortion. It requires the unborn child to be killed by choice. Right there your position number 3 is wrong.

Mocking God and his rules. If you believe in God, then you wouldn't be taking positions that offensive to him. On the other side of this issue is that believing in God is not an automatic license to get into heaven. Many Christians are not going to get in.

Supporting a president or presidential candidate is equal to you supporting a candidate that supports your ideals. A Christian candidate is the closest to supporting my ideals. Not an Obama or a Hillary.

  13. Republicans selfishly vote for their wallets each and every time instead of humanity. God loathes the GOP.

  14. Gott Mit Unce.....from the n**i uniforms means "god is with us"

god takes no side in the silliness of men
