And if so, why is it ok that Bush cowtows to them, as well as continues to negotiate with a country that sells arms and weapons to so-called terrorist nations...our enemies in the war on terror?

Isn't this an irreconcilable contradiction?

PS...I do not care about your comparisons with either of the candidates...I just want someone to justify why Dumbya wants to honor the Chinese government by attending the Opening Ceremonies after they have violated every promise given when awarded the Olympics.

  1. However, it's ok on the Liberals side for Obama to talk to Iran?...

Are you saying he shouldn't go to the Olympics, which is a significant international event? He's not "cowotwing", he is part of the world community, and this is not a political trip.

Give the world community which are part of, a break, and not be condescending.

It is a world sporting event, hosted in China... lighten up.

  2. not so bad. you should have been at the Berlin games back in the late 30s. always something the matter. it is all nonsense anyway. just a big circus with wierd thousands of wierd contests and steroid freaks doing tricks normal humans cannot do.

  3. Yes. I've been calling for a boycott from day one, but not only of the Opening Ceremony, but the entire games. What kind of message does it send to just not show up for roll call, we'll still be there.

  4. Are you “affronted” by the number of violations of basic human rights by your own government?  You should be.

Before this country continues to impose its standards on other countries it should get its own affairs in order.  I'm “affronted” by a lot of things done by a lot of governments, but until the one I pay taxes to straightens up, I’m inclined to encourage restraint from throwing stones from the glass house in which we live.

I also don’t think that a boycott of these games is rational or productive.  It’s easy for people who haven’t trained so hard and so long to offer a sacrifice that doesn’t take anything away from themselves.  If these folks are so adamant about making a statement, why don’t they make a sacrifice that hurts them selves to some degree?

  5. Why all work and no play?

    Work is work.

    With "Sporting" season.

Have fun and enjoy life under the sun.

    After that.

    Will get back to work.

    As usual.

    Beating tin cans.

    Matt. 5.9-16

    What do you think?

  6. Fat chance...they're not even affronted by human rights abuses in their own country.

  7. one of the main reasons I left the republican party.they have no interests in human rights.instead of some limp wristed thumbs down, why dont you republicans list how your party stands up for human rights?
