I am coming across this answer quite a bit. When someone asks about Sarah Palin, usually attacking her, the response is that she stood up to Big Oil and dealt with the "good ol' boy" system by dealing with a Republican who was violating some ethic code or other.
I have yet to hear what that ethical violation was, but I believe she did all this. I'll accept it as fact.
Then all supporters of Palin say she did everything Obama talks about doing, but has never actually done himself. And therefore this is a reason we should be accepting Palin as good.
Fair enough, I'll accept that reasoning. But if she did everything Obama is talking about doing, and that is a reason to consider her good, then shouldn't we be siding with Obama over McCain?
McCain is the one who is saying Obama is wrong and putting up quite a few opposite ideas. If Palin is right, then isn't Obama right and McCain wrong?
And if Obama is wrong, isn't Palin? In which case, isn't McCain wrong for picking her, too?
Therefore wouldn't logic suggest that at best Obama is the right choice, and at worst they are all wrong?
