Question:

Republicans, if I might ask you a question?

I am coming across this answer quite a bit. When someone asks about Sarah Palin, usually attacking her, the response is that she stood up to Big Oil and dealt with the "good ol' boy" system by dealing with a Republican who was violating some ethic code or other.

I have yet to hear what that ethical violation was, but I believe she did all this. I'll accept it as fact.

Then all supporters of Palin say she did everything Obama talks about doing, but has never actually done himself. And therefore this is a reason we should be accepting Palin as good.

Fair enough, I'll accept that reasoning. But if she did everything Obama is talking about doing, and that is a reason to consider her good, then shouldn't we be siding with Obama over McCain?

McCain is the one who is saying Obama is wrong and putting up quite a few opposite ideas. If Palin is right, then isn't Obama right and McCain wrong?

And if Obama is wrong, isn't Palin? In which case, isn't McCain wrong for picking her, too?

Therefore wouldn't logic suggest that at best Obama is the right choice, and at worst they are all wrong?

  1. You might consider asking "McCain Supporters" rather than "Republicans".

I am a life-long Indiana Republican and I do not defend Palin as the pick for Veep.  Nor will I be voting for McCain in November.  I'll be voting for Obama-Biden.

  2. Well here comes a typical republican response...the difference is that Obama has not shown the American people any results! He promises a bunch of c**p and did while in the Senate...and we have seen nothing. Palin promised and we saw results. I really hope you aren't another person just voting for him because you feel he resembles you. No offense meant by that statement.

  3. yes. i agree.

republicans have their heads up their a*sess.

they will justify ANY bullsh*t logic.

after all they voted for bush.

    & what has he done?

  4. I still would not vote for McCain but Palin would be an excellent President if McCain died while in office. I wouldn't want anything to happen to McCain except that he repent and obey the gospel.

I support Ron Paul 2008 and will write him in.

McCain or Obama would be another Bush. They are all New World Order clones who have policies of spending and borrowing America into bankruptcy and taxing the American people into poverty. Obama is no different. I voted for Bush and now I sign any and every petition to have Bush/Cheney IMPEACHED. McCain or Obama will perjure themselves within the first 2 weeks after taking the oath to uphold the US Constitution. When they do disregard the US Constitution I will be compelled to sign any and every petition to have either one of them IMPEACHED.

The only reason Obama wants to expand the military is because that is how he thinks we need to provide jobs for all the unemployed. He has no clue as to how deal with recession and unemployment. He just thinks with a welfare state mentality that bankrupts America by spending and borrowing America into debt to hand out money and bogus jobs that will cost the tax payer big time in paying the Federal Reserve back at an interest rate of 35%.

  5. No good choices so you vote against the worst choice.  I will vote for McCain not because I want him but I sure don't want Obama.

  6. I didn't know too much about Sarah Palin, but the more I find out about her the more I like.  Bottom line, she's more qualified to be President than Barack Obama...you can read the comparison in the URL below.

Supporting Sarah Palin is not also supporting Barack Obama.  People like to say that John McCain voted with Bush over 90% of the time...well Barack Obama voted with the Democrats over 95% of the time.  In fact, if you look at Barack's voting record you can see why his opposition claims him to be the most left-leaning in the Democratic Party.  A URL is below for this as well.

If you research the history of what Sarah Palin did to remove corruption in her state and demonstrated putting the people of Alaska before her own Party or Personal Interests, then compare them to Barack Obama and how he left Chicagoans homeless while befriending Rezko to obtain a home...you quickly see that they are not the same.

The differences become more acute when you talk about Gun Ownership and Pro-Life versus Pro-Choice.  She actually managed a budget ( both City and State ).  Barack only managed himself and ran a Europe Subcommittee which he never called into session.

Sarah resigned from her post of Commissioner of Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission to protest corruption against her own Party and her husband quit his job in the Oil Industry when his company began negotiating with her administration.  This in contrast to Barack who began his Presidential aspirations in William Ayers livingroom, acquired his home with the help of Tony Rezko and even now is doing some underhanded deals with Joe Biden through his son lobbyist Hunter Biden...source in URL below.

Barack recently voted for renewing the Wireless Surveillance Legislation he claimed to oppose, has re-adjusted his stance on Iraq and reversed himself on Public Funding.  As time goes on, the divide between Palin and Obama will become wider and her ties as a Maverick will continue to align with McCains demonstrated history.

  7. When people say that Palin is doing what Obama claims to be doing they are talking about standing up to special interests and standing against the old politics in general. They are not talking about agreeing on the issues because they obviously don't.

In this respect John McCain also does exactly what Obama claims to do which is reach across party lines and get things done with the other party. Obama has never done this. Obama is a hard core liberal which is why the liberals love him so much.

John McCain has reached out to the other party so much that conservatives don't even like him. They just like him better than Obama.

On issues McCain/Palin and Obama are opposite. Obama is a tax and spend socialist while McCain/Palen are pro-life pro-gun tax cutters, etc, etc. They are not alike at all.

  8. im a betweener person, i grew up as a republican but now i cant decide.  It does seem that on this particular area, obama had the upper hand, but there are other topics like immigration that I cannot see him resolving (I can't see McCain helping it that much either)...  Also Obama seems to punish the upper middle class and the lower upper class by taxing them the most (upper class won't be hurt that bad.... their the upper class)...

Either way, Obama is obviously going to win so I might as well get used to his policies

  9. thats correct

  10. ....sure! Thanks for the 2 points!

  11. Unfortunately I'd have to say your last point is correct. It is at worst...and they're all wrong.
