vote_usa (below) Agreed!

I chose Romney due to the GOP's total rejection of Paul who is by far a truer conservative than Romney.

  1. As a Republican, haha, I strongly prefer Romney

    myself

Romney got millions of votes but spoke the truth about McCain, his ignorance on the economy, his explosive temper, his flip flopping, his lack of charisma and or message, and John didn't like it

  2. Psst.... That's why a President has a cabinet.  He recieves advice from more then just a VP.

  3. Romney or Palin would both push too hard for government takeover or aid to the so called "free market", which makes it no longer a "free market".

The president should not have much at all to do with the economy. The president should simply keep usa in good standing with the world, to promote trade with american companies - and this is best achieved with a humble foreign policy.

Energy, bank and other company bailouts, and job creation are a  great example of where government should be furthest from. Both parties are  too eager to get government hands in business.

Ron Paul who would use a strict hands off approach would be my choice.

*If I had to pick from palin or romney though, I guess I would have to choose romney.

  4. Romney was my choice for VP, and is still my choice for President in '12, but I have to admit, I'm more excited about McCain's pick than I thought I would be.

Gov. Palin has a history of attacking establishment figures head-on, and defeating them. The best place outside of D.C. in which to do this is Alaska, where politics have become more calcified than almost anywhere else in the country. Her political resume includes sweeping out both a mayor and a governor in serious reform bids each time. If John McCain's only message this year was "reform in Washington", then Palin would be the perfect running mate.

As far as shoring up his evangelical base, as many have noted that McCain needs to do, Palin is also an excellent choice. She's a credible pro-life and pro-family feminist, who was given the choice to terminate her last pregnancy when it was discovered that her son would be born with Down Syndrome. Although 9/10's of women elect to have an abortion in those cases, Palin kept her child, which has been an inspiration to women and families across the country.

As far as her symbolic appeal goes, she represents far more than just women in the GOP. She, as well as Governor Jindal of Louisiana and even Governor Pawlenty of Minnesota, represents a new breed of Republican in this country. They are the next generation, free of any taint from Washington and especially President Bush. They remind us that "the future" doesn't just belong to the Democrats, but to all Americans.

  5. Doesn't really matter who. McCain is the one goung for POTUS as the liberals are desparetly trying to ignore. Besides, you would criticise whoever they picked.

  6. It wasn't my choice to make. It was mcCain's. If it was me I would have picked Huckabee. But its interesting that with all the qualified women Obama could have picked he picked an old white man that has been part of the Washington establishment for 40 years, So much for "change".
