is he looking for a handout?? Does he have "class envy"?

Seems, if people believe in rolling back the tax cuts for the wealthy.. They get accused on this site as being lazy, rich hating, welfare bums looking for handouts.. So what does Warren Buffet gain from wanting his own taxes raised??

  1. He gains a stronger future for his children.

2% of the population would get increased taxes under Obama's plan.

So, 98% of Americans would get lower taxes.

Why the Anne Coulters zombies always cry socialist and muslim when they have no valid points to make?

    REDFRED:

    1. I highly doubt that you are in the 2% that would have your taxes raised.

    2. I can't think of one person in that 2% who has contributed more to society than a nursing assistant who works grueling 12 hour days saving lives and trying to make his/her patients lives a little less bleak for minimum wage.

Do you truly have the audacity to imply that you have?

The fairness is that the middle and lower classes work harder than anyone else.

When I worked as a bank supervisor, I made more than my team for working less. The district manager worked less than I did for even more money.

I know my team worked harder because that's what I did before I worked my way up.

I also firmly agree with the Dilbert principle that the least qualified people in a company will always rise the highest.

I have seen very few acceptions to that.

    Your logic is false, Red.

    More pay= Less work.

  2. He has held fundraisers for both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for president. He has not indicated for whom he will vote, but he has expressed that both would make "great Presidents". He later endorsed Obama for president.

He is a socialist, thats why.

  3. thats one person, Its a simple matter of marginal taxation, Someone who makes 100,000 getting taxed 50 percent hurts a lot more then someone who has 80 billion taxed at the same rate.  In the first case the person now cant pay ther bills and quality of life is decreased in the latter the quality of life isnt affected at all. having 40 billion is the same as having 80 billion.

And let me tell you most "rich" people dont favor this.  Wealth redistribution is a horrible thing.

  4. The fact is that taxation at a higher rate for the rich would benefit the many and not really hurt anyone the republicans yell about it because they are selfish and hey control the bulk of wealth in the country examples

McCain and Wife worth over 100 million dollars

Obama and Wife worth 4.7 million dollars

    Other Politicians:

Republican 3 wealthiest Totaling 6.5 Billiion Dollars

    Bloomberg, Rockafeller, Houghton

Democrat wealthiest 3 Totaling  1.3 Billion  Dollars

    Kerry, Sanchez, Corzine

Republicans control the Lions share of the Money they want to keep it that way that is why the are opposed to taxes on the rich

  5. I am not a Republican, but am in fact a libertarian--and a radical one.

He gets tax credits, and gets to invest more in projects with lower capital gains taxes.  He can afford to pay more taxes, because then, like Bill Gates he will be subsidized by the government.  Remember, the worst enemy of Capitalism is a Capitalist.  Notice how I did not say "free market," which is nothing like Capitalism.  Capitalists like Gates, Buffett, and Soros are the worst examples of people advocating free markets.  They believe in free markets only so long as the competition is prevented from competing and only as long for them to get rich, then they can say that Capitalism doesn't work.

  6. Its called one man's opinion, recently a new section was added to the 1040 form. Its called contributions. If mr Buffet or anyone like him thinks hes not paying enough in taxes he can add whatever amount he considers fair. This could also be used by all those rich Democrats that call for higher taxes.

  7. it is astounding how many people don't get it.

    i'm not sure why.

maybe they think that they'll start making $1m next year.

maybe they just don't realize that they make less this year (in real spendable dollars) than they did last year, but the really wealthy have seen their wealth increase.

then again, maybe they think "it's just fair".  the rich really did earn it.

the problem with that is, the average wealth of the really rich has increased dramatically in the last few years, while the average wealth of most Americans has declined.

wouldn't it seem that if people were incensed by the redistribution of wealth, that they'd have a problem with the way most folks wealth has decreased while that of the really rich has increased.

    that's obviously not the case.

    but the question is why?

i really don't like to think they're not too smart, but what's the alternative?

  8. Gosh, one guy thinks the rich need to be taxed more. I just have to change my whole mind on everything!! I don't care if Warren Buffet has a guilt complex about having money... That isn't uncommon, BTW, because the rich have been made to feel guilty over what they have. I still believe in capitalism and punishing people who have made it goes against everything that this country was built on. What happens if YOU "make it"... which I assume you haven't? Will you assume the guilt of the affluent? Just how much of YOUR earnings will you be willing to just give to the masses who did nothing to help you gain your money? Because you do know (I hope) that already the wealthy pay almost 50% of their income in taxes right now.

  9. If Warren Buffet truly thinks his taxes are too low, he can simply write a check to the IRS.  Every citizen is entitled to simply give money to the government.

This is a typical Liberal propaganda.  Liberals talk about how we should all pay more, but what they really mean is everyone but them!  Look at Mr. Liberal himself, Senator Edward Kennedy.  He has practically an army of lawyers making sure he pays the bare minimum on their $500 million fortune.

"Do as I say, not as I do".  That is the Liberal motto.

If any Liberals think they pay too little, just have them whip their check books out.  But you know what?  I doubt that's going to happen.  The big-wig Liberal politicians extol the virtues of higher taxation, because they dream of millions of average Joes dutifully paying high taxes while they are safely protected by tax havens and other tactics.

  10. buffet doesnt stand to lose anything he already has by being taxed.

its an interesting point of view that argues that a fabulously wealthy person who agrees with raising taxes must know what he is talking about BECAUSE he is rich; while anyone who disagrees with raising taxes (say, like, the vast majority of the middle class) are just stupid Republicans caught up with class envy.

Buffet is left Stalin on most issues. I dont look to him for wisdom. he also suggest that California repeal Prop 13: the only thing that has allowed most of this state in their homes for the last 25+ years...... Buffet suggest higher property taxes for us! wow, what an "oracle"

    what are you talking about?

    my points were:

1-buffet loses nothing by higher taxes

2-that listening only to wealthy people who agree with you, and criticizing middle class people who dont agree with you is "interesting"

3-that buffet is poor source, to myself, since he is on the far left

4a-that he suggested repealing prop 13 which would raise property taxes: which would not affect him at all, while putting a lot of people out on the streets.

4b-and therefore his appeal as an "oracle" is a joke

    read closer.

  11. Let me ask you. What's fair about rich people paying more that other people? Because they generally made the right choices in life? Did not get involved in drugs? Did not drop out of school?

Why are poor people deserving of my money? I work hard for my money why should it go to nameless people? If I want to help less fortunate people then I'll give it away myself - don't take it from me.
