There's no way on Heaven or Earth a sensible Conservative can say, with a straight face, Palin silent all the doubters. She sound more like a girl than a 44 year old woman.

Where was the decorum befitting of leadership qualities in her poise, mannerism, and professionalism?

Where was the substantive talking points to highlights her so-called "experience" edge? I saw none of that. This was nothing but a highschool written speech, attacking an opponent with such utter ignorance --- a losing stragety.

She should know this will come back to haunt her. You never tell blatant lies so easy to be countered. This gave Obama a full asenal of ammunition to put the McCain/Palin ticket out of its' misery.

On top of that, you had Mitt Romney pits Liberals against Conservatives and did the whole "politic of the past." How can you fall for a trap like that? He simply set himself up for ridicules and hurting his Party in the process.

Just think, less than 45,000 people attended the GOP Convention. The Democrat Convention recorded 84,000 with "standing room only" for those that still tried to get in. Are the Republicans assessing this picture right?

The Dems is a mighty force this Election. You don't take a chance by pulling some "foolish display" of caricaturism and expect voters to take the Party serious after what the Bush administration did the last 7 years.

The GOP Convention was suicide, folks.

Obama/Biden 08!! (it's in the bag)

  1. Palin only favors abstinence as birth control. She also claims massive executive experience (at least over Obama). Then we find out her underage daughter is carrying an illegitimate child. For a candidate who supposedly stands on a conservative platform with considerable "executive experience" over Obama, she certainly is a big failure on all counts. (She can't even control her own daughter on the very thing that she supports, and wants everyone to follow!)

And this is the "judgement" of McCain that he wants so desperately for us to believe in.

They're not only in denial, they're delusional in thinking that they have the moral high ground. (That's the problem with the Republican viewpoint: they've drilled into all of us on how "moral" and "righteous" they are, and we find the biggest moral offenders coming from them as well. Hypocrisy at its highest.)

  2. "Just think, less than 45,000 people attended the GOP Convention. The Democrat Convention recorded 84,000 with "standing room only" for those that still tried to get in. Are the Republicans assessing this picture right?"

Wow 45.000 showed up im impressed, they had a hard time with the hurricane going on and they still pulled through.

"But in scaling down the convention and focusing on the storm"

Fool, he had to cut plans and change schedules so we could focus on the storm.

  3. The entire convention has been filled with negative comments, false accusations and false hopes. I can see WHY McCain would have thought Palin was a good choice, but he'd have had a better chance of winning with any other VP selection. His choice of Palin sounded ground-breaking until it sank in; he picked her in a despicable attempt to win over disgruntled Clinton supporters, and many Clinton-supporters feel patronized.

  4. I'm completely disappointed that on a night they could have chosen to discuss issues, they reduced themselves to attacking Obama's character. Do they think that at the end of this we are going to forget our economy is in utter ruins? Truly disappointing.

  5. let's hope mccain wins over obama.. help him out by voting for him on this page!

  6. disagree watch the news more

  7. How about when she said Obama was against domestic drilling?

Did she forget that she endorsed Obama's energy policy 4 weeks ago?

  8. No, disagree!

    McCain/Palin 08!!!  (it's in the bag)

  9. Were you watching the same speech? 5 of 7 CNN Political Analysts said that she nailed it and that the DEMS should be worried. (I might not have made that clear... CNN Analysts!)

Either you didn't watch it, or you are in denial!

  10. "CNN Political Analysts"!?!?!

Are you kidding me? CNN are media. Media will do whatever  they can to make a buck, get on the right side of people and all media people, educated or not, are liars. Read about it more and check other places as they all have stated Palin is nothing more than a rude bitchy person (layman terms).

    www.factcheck.org for starters.

  11. The protest outside the hall were more lively than what went on inside the hall.. No Platform, No Class, No decorm... a bunch of old folks acting like they got bingo all at the same time who dragged their kids out there to make it look like they have appeal to young voters..MY GOSH... I am sooo disappointed.. it was all about McShame.. Who gives a flip I thought It was about the American People..

  12. I enjoy seeing this everywhere now...

    McCain/Palin 08!!! (it's in the bag)

    ????

Are you kidding me??? what kind of bag is it?? A bag full of ****? Because thats what McCain/Palin has going for it right now. Just becase a bunch of people proclaim that someone is "experienced" does not mean they have the credentials. See the problem I have with republicans is the fact that they almost always seem to forget that responsibility and accountability are ESSENTIAL credentials for any leader. How can someone lead without taking ownership of successes and failures?? Palin has a track record of p**s poor decision making. She also has a record of abusing her authority. (then she tops that off by showing she has a past that should be considered "unpatriotic".)

And I won't waste time on McCain.

Bottom line, until real tangible platforms are established for both Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin, I would suggest that America seek to elect the Independent party into office. Its time for a change.... REAL CHANGE!

  13. Well, I wouldn't count the Republicans out quite yet, though I agree with your points. They have, for example, yet to unleash most of their dirty-tricks squads... unfortunately, political ads are exempt from slander laws, and the RNC and other organizations typically spin some whoppers.

As for the RNC and Gustav, their Convention was held in Mineapolis - St. Paul, at least 1,300 miles from where Gustav made landfall. The low attendance has nothing to do with people having trouble getting to the convention. It has something to do with some of them worried about looking bad by going to the Convention during a major storm and an election year, and others who have found it in their best interest to maintain political distance from McCain.
