Why don't people understand why the rich receive tax cuts? The ten percent richest citizens in this country (Those who average over two hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year) already pay eighty percent of the federal taxes.

I just don't understand why people think the rich should give out large portions of their money to the federal government for social programs.

Think about it, the rich do not need these social programs because they have money to pay for privatized versions of the government provided program.

Why should the rich pay for some poor sap that needs these social services provided by the federal government? The poor sap probably screwed off his whole life and isn't making enough money to provide basic services for him self.

That isn't being self-sufficient, the rich, are self-sufficient.

People are not demonizing the rich.  Some works hard, and some just know what to do for themselves.

Your thoughts represent the minds of typical well-off American people.

"I built my wealth while you were on food stamps.  Why should I pay for you?".  Me! Me! Me!  

The issue is this.  People like you are too greedy.  While folks like you whine and moan about paying a little more tax because you, or someone, worked hard and didn't receive any donations from anybody, you have a pretty good life.  The fact is most low wage people work hard, but it's difficult to make a comfortable living.

So, you can be willing to carry your social responsibility and share a little for the community, this nation, and the people.

They should pay something. Where did they get their money? from other rich people? I think not.

Many Rich People pay no taxes at all. Poor people pay taxes too.

10% of $20,000 hurts alot more than 20% of a Million dollars tho the 200,000 is a lot more than 2,000. It is alot easyer to get by on $800,000 than $18,000.
