  1. Obama is a lose canon with his socialistic agenda and his unpatriotic wife

Palin is a great asset for John McCain and the country

  2. How g*y!

  3. I believe they tried to find an ugly woman but they were all in Denver.

  4. Miss Trailer Park of 1984!

  5. You're reaching.....

  6. A beauty queen back in 1984 she has become far more since then. Democrats are having quite a difficult time with this Sarah Palin it seems.

Once again, this attempt to discredit her only back-fires on Obama.  She was a beauty queen 24 years ago.  Since then, she has become a successful business woman, wife, mother of five children, City Council member, a Mayor, and Governor of the largest State in the Union.

Obama graduated 26 years ago.  Since then he as become a State Senator and one year ago a Senator.  That puts Sarah Palin way ahead on the leadership scale.  Another point the Obama campaign would rather not discuss is his lack of leadership. Even his voting record as a State Senator shows weakness.  He was rarely willing to vote either way on important issues. He certainly never took the lead.

  7. They picked her to remind McCain how much houses he owns!

  8. Options are limited.  She's much better than a Clinton....(no corruption).

  9. I haven't even heard of Palin except today.

I have no clue who she is and if she's even qualified to be the 2nd most powerful woman/man in America.

Heck no! I'd rather vote for Obama.

  10. You, along with a fair sprinkling of far-left wingnuts on this forum, seem to confuse the job of President with the job of Vice-President. I wonder why that is.

Try to think of it like this:

1 - Obama, a total lightweight, wants to run this country and, by extension, the world, and

2 - McCain, a seasoned legislator and foreign policy expert, wants to run this country and, by extension, the world, and

3 - Obama chose a running mate to reassure those who haven't made up their minds that it's safe to select a total lightweight for President, and (finally :-)

4 - McCain chose a running mate whose style is very similar to his own, knowing that he'd be able to stand to have her around for four or eight years WHILE HE RUNS THE COUNTRY AND, BY EXTENSION, THE WORLD.

I'm not gonna spell it out for ya but you DO see the difference here, don't you? Good -- now act like it!

  11. McCain has just been caught in his own political argument.  The RNC convention had spend thousands of dollars in media signage stating Obama isn't experience enough for the job President.  They are presently redoing this slogan based on McCain's VP pick.

Most top level politicians have a law degree, since part of their jobs is to legislate bills into laws.  Sarah has a Journalism degree.  As the VP of a candidate that just turn 72 and a cancer survive, her having to step in as President if McCain is elected is a serious one.

One thing though, she has already to adopt McCain's flip-flop techniques.  She supported the "Bridge to Nowhere" but has just publicly stated that she didn't.

"Palin initially expressed support for the Gravina Island Bridge project,[22] commonly known outside the state as the "Bridge to Nowhere." However, once it had become a nationwide symbol of wasteful earmark spending and some federal funding was lost, Palin cancelled the bridge because Alaska's congressional delegation was unable to prevent the state of Alaska from having to pay for part of the bridge's construction.[23][24] Alaska still kept the federal money,[25] but she stated that Alaska should rely less on federal funding.[26]"

I think McCain paid too much attention of Sarah being a woman, and not looking closely at her actual record.  McCain's judgment will be questioned.

  12. Republicans would flocked to any VP nomination, just like the Democrats.

There are still a few critical democrats and critical republicans, but it is unfortunate that we are, as a people, are showing a loyalty to a party rather than constructivism criticism.

  13. McCain has clearly lost his mind

I get the feeling the Democrats will just ignore the unknown girl, they have plenty of dirt on McCain in any event

  14. To the first answer, umm I'm not trying to be negative but anything can happen to Obama OR McCain. Can we really put our country in her hands if anything does happen. Can we even trust McCain? I know I trust Joe Biden for sure.

But, on point it's a little ironic and funny. They accuse Obama of not having experience and being a celebrity but she has those characteristics in my honest opinion. I'm not saying she can't lead because she doesn't have experience, but if that's gonna be the big attack on john mccain's side maybe they shouldn't have contradicted their selves and chosen someone who was well known and experienced.

  15. The same reason they talk about how homosexuality is evil while half of them are off having g*y s*x in public restrooms.
