John, I didn't think so, since he sounded boring to me and was reading the speech word for word with no emotion. Sarah on the other hand I think did a great speech she keep me wanting to see her speech and didn't bore me one bit, which made me want to hear what she had to say.

Well, I am independent.

I am leaning towards Obama at this time.  They really did not say anything that changed my mind and certainly didn't "rock my world".  They did a lot of Obama bashing, but I expected that.

McCain still has not given me a reason to vote for him.   I still believe Obama is the best candidate at this time.  

I will be listening carefully to the debates.

Although John is not really comfortable in that type of setting, I think he did great.  He said the things that needed to be said and I think he laid out his plan pretty well.  As for Sarah!  She rocked our world for sure!!!  She played the roll she was supposed to play and for all the whining, attacking the opponent is what the VP is supposed to do in their speech.  Not only did she do it with grace, she did it with style and a smile.

I'm a lot more excited about this election now, not because of the RNC but because of the VP pick.

Palin was the attack dog, and them McCain tries to say how he can reach across the aisle? What c**p.

All I heard were personal attacks from her, and 'vote for me since I was a POW' from him.

Empty phrases, "change," personal attacks, no concrete proposals, POW references also rocked my world.  I got angry and sent more money to the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Republicans continue to insult our intelligence.

Yes, it was all very thought provoking.  McCain set his specific agenda on every major issue facing America.  He has specific plans for this country to move forward and has a REAL plan for  change in Washington.

He spoke from the heart.  I believe they are both the kind of people to go to washington and cut the fat out!!  Which will save our economy and create more jobs.

Personally, I find that it's "liberals" who NEED to have their pols rock their world -- hence the candidacy of Mr. Perfect. They are IN LOVE with the boy and they're are LOVIN' every minute of it!

Not really.  Sarah was like an attack dog & John was basically saying vote for me because I am a war veteran.  I did notice some yawning in he audience last night & I saw a war veteran yawning during Palin's speech.
