So, i work in a Japanese school. One of my students wants to study abroad (university in UK or US). I have given her the lowdown regarding the UK, but haven't got a clue about the US.

How does one go about studying in the US?

What are the reputable schemes/companies for doing this?

Thanks in advance for any replies. Please help!!

  1. YFU is primarily a high school program, but it also does community college (first two years) exchanges as well. A very reputable program.

However, generally an exchange student would contact the university he/she wishes to attend and apply directly. They don't go through exchange programs like high school students.
