Hey, I went to an open call for a sag and aftra liscenced agency and i know it is reputable and legit but they said since i am, i guess a "noob" to the business i have to learn all the lingo, and how to hold products, and blah blah and so they told me that IMTA is doing training for people like me and it is $ 46 a week, and 14 sessions so that totals to $644. But it is true, i mean i dont think any agent would send me on an audition without knowing anything, but i dont really get it.

i know they are legit, i know that.

  1. They aren't legit, I'm afraid.

Or, rather, they are legit in the most generous sense of the term and are just a money-hungry company that's in the business of training models rather than finding them work. Real modeling agencies pay for your training because you are an asset to the company and they want your jobs to pay as much as possible.
