Req Gas Conn for Mom, Dad ration card list mom name but dad is expired, HP says Mom own Rat Crd is Req PlsHelp

I applied for new Gas Conn for my Mom. I submitted the Ration Card which has is in my later father's name and also included my Mom's name. The HP guys are not accepting the same and required the ration card to be in my mom's name.

Is it mandatory?

Dear Indian 00,

After your Father, your Mom will become the absolute owner of all documents including the ration card. Now She is the head of the Family. The HP people are misguiding you. Just apply again with the death Certificate of your Father. The gas agency have no rights to reject it since your Mother,s name is second to your Father,s name in the ration card.

You can also apply to the Department of Food and Civil Supplies, Kasturba Road ( opposite Vishveshvaraiah Museum ) to make necessary changes in the ration card.
