Question:

Required number of assistants/teachers per child?

I was wondering how many teachers/ assistants (both qualified and unqualified) are required per child in Victoria Australia?

I thought it was one qualified teacher and one assistant for every 15 children but I just heard of a center that had an unqualified assistant supervise 15 children at a center.

Any links to official websites would be much appreciated as I haven't had much luck with google!

Thanks

  1. 1 unqualified for 15 children is not right I'm sure try department of community services, they should be able to help, their in the government section of phone book, if it's the same as nsw this is very wrong, there should be 2 staff for that many children and that depends on their age
