Helical springs are used as vibration & shock absorbers on passenger trains, motor bikes, automobiles, bicycles, at the end of the line for railroad or freight elevator or passenger car stoppage bumpers; vibratory machines and vibration tables and numerous other application where the axial or torsional forces are required to be transmitted repititiously without fail - for a relatively long period of time.
