Requirements to be a Health Teacher....?

I live in NYS- So I know you need a BA/BS and then a MS to follow but what are you required to major in?

Teaching K-12 requires one major, that being in education, and then you can minor in a subject if you want to specialize in it.  Besides that, you also need to follow your state guidelines for being certified as a teacher.  It varies in each state, so you may need the PRAXIS, but being in NYS, you should not need the CBEST.  Check the link for more details.
