I am not a resident of Canada, but I'm currently doing the International Baccalaureate in Australia and thinking of applying for engineering at the University of Toronto. Do I need to sit a SAT or some other test? Or would I be able to get into the uni with my score from the IB? If so, can you please give me more details on what IB score would I need to get into any engineering course? Thank you.

  1. First off - good choice in schools! :)

You do not need to do the SAT to get into a Canadian university, and yes, you would be able to get in based on your IB score. I did some looking around on the U of T's Admissions and Engineering faculty websites, and they don't give a specific minimum score for engineering, but there are general specifications. Links are below.

I do know that the engineering faculty at U of T is quite competitive because of it's quality, so the higher your score, the better (obviously). I would suggest contacting someone from the faculty through email to get the specifics on engineering admissions.

    Good luck!
