Rerouted with accelerating possibilities in the Al Dana Wealth (Handicap) (Turf) at Meydan on 3rd March
The Al Dana Wealth (Handicap) (Turf) is to be held at Meydan over a mile and two furlongs on Saturday, 3rd March. The race with a £67, 742 purse has attracted a lineup of twelve runners.
Among the twelve entries, four are from the stables of the two Godolphin trainers, Saeed bin Suroor and Mahmood Al Zarooni. Grand Vent, Quick Wit, Masteroftherolls and Simon De Montfort, the first three will represent Saeed bin Suroor and the fourth is conditioned
by Mahmood Al Zarooni.
Rerouted, Stormy Atlantic’s four-year-old chestnut colt out of mare Rouwaki, is trained by M. De Kock. All his three races of the 2012 season were at Meydan and none could result in a victory. The colt remains winless after the trio of his new season.
However, the progress that Rerouted has made during the course cannot be neglected. He shot off the season by finishing fifth on a track of thirteen then third with sixteen others competing and then eventually ended up as a runner up on a field set for ten.
Rerouted cracked into the season by participating in the Group 3 Al Shindagha Sprint Sponsored by Gulf News on 3rd February at Meydan. The race was won by Hitchens who had a mere shoulder’s advantage over Krypton Factor, who finished second while
riding with Kieren Fallon.
Third in line behind the winner was Alo Pura who was being ridden by William Buick. The 9/4 favourite of the race, Captain Obvious ended the race fourth on the track of thirteen.
Rerouted’s second try of the season was in the Range Rover Evoque Trophy (Handicap) (Turf) on 16th February at Meydan. The 5/2 favourite of the race, Delegator, was the first amongst the lineup of sixteen to race through the seven furlongs distance.
Delegator had Frankie Dettori riding.
Finishing the closest to the winner was Jaasoos riding with Kieren Fallon while third in line behind the winner was Rerouted with Christophe Soumillon onboard.
On 23rd February, Rerouted was in the lineup for the Al Naboodah Construction Group (Conditions Race) (Turf) at Meydan over a mile and a furlong.
Rerouted was placed second against the 2/1 favourite of the race, City Style, who had Mickael Barzalona onboard and led by four lengths.
Today Rerouted is to make the fourth start of the season and this time he really needs to notch up to the first position.
