Question:

Rescoring SAT score?

I recently took an SAT II subject test in Math, and my score was much lower than I have ever done on prior attempts. I'm worried that I may have botched my answer sheet by skipping one question and then filling in the oval for the next question one space too high. I know that I can have my test rescored by hand for $50, but if its just a matter of me s******g up the placement of my answers, will they even give me credit?

  1. Sats... ahh would i be right in guessing that your in year 9?

because its GSCE's that are the most important and i just advice you to constantly revise ... i personally am in the second week of my exams and i regret leaving all this revision till last minuite . . . .

but if it will make much difference you could pay the $50 for your test to be rescored but that $50 could turn into thousands of dollars if you study hard..

good luck in the future kid!!

  2. From what I read re scoring does check the answers in your answer booklet, and if you maybe skipped an oval and proceeded to fill in answers all in the wrong ovals they will catch that too. Be aware that your scores can go up but also they can go down.

  3. Well, the rescoring option does not cover for filling in the wrong ovals. it only helps when you think that you have made an erasure that the 'scoring machine' thought was filled in. I would recommend that you call collegeboard up and voice your concerns. I highly doubt that they may do anything about it because anyone can simply say that they filled in the ovals wrong, and hope a better score will come out in the end. Still, it doesn't hurt to try.
