Rescued a parakeet hes acting really sick!

Question

Does anyone know what might be wrong... I seen him out side yesterday and I could tell he was an inside bird. I really wanted to save him knowing that he could die out here with these other birds. Anyway,Hes on the bottom of the cage. He wont eat or drink. I have been giving him water with an eye dropper. I noticed yesterday while trying to catch him that he was eating allot of gravel and ants. Is that what could be wrong? Also he really ant pooping much?

Why are their ants in the cage?

take it to the vet asap. when birds sit on the bottom of the cage it means they are dying (if they sit there for extended periods of time)

OMg! get him to the vet now! that happened to my bird we took him to the vet but it was to late! HURRY! Good Luck! i hope this helps!

Poor bird. He may have intestinal blockage or something from eating junk--whatever the problem, though, you need to take him to the vet ASAP; by the time a bird starts acting like that they're on death's door. Birds try their best to hide illness, so when it does become obvious that they're sick it's because they just can't hide it anymore.
