Research assistantship?

We are definitely looking for data entry assistants who are available to complete a minimum of 5 hours per week. As of now, there is alot of availability in the data entry schedule, so I am confident that I will be able to accommodate you. Do you have any experience with data entry or SPSS? If not, no worries!! We thoroughly train all of our research assistants and help them throughout the process. If this is something that you may be interested in, please let me know your availability and when you would be able to start. I am not going to be on campus next week, however, on the 24th I will be in the lab. I would like to arrange a time when you and I can meet to review the project and to make sure that this is something you would like to dedicate your time to before we proceed further.

ok so with this email how can i respond thanking her for the opportunity and whats a quick way to learn data entry?

  1. Start by reading something about SPSS. SPSS http://www.spss.com/ is a statistical software, and from the email your role is to enter the data needed. It's a complicated software with more rules to follow. I'm sure they will teach you how to use it before you start working on their project

    Just tell her straight --

Thank you for the opportunity. I look forward to working with you. I'd be happy to meet with you on ____ in the campus lab.

Try to borrow books from the library on how to use SPSS. Data entry with Excel or Access is so much simplier than SPSS, and if that is the software you will use, then you need to learn how to use it. Unfortunately, SPSS is not a common software that you can find anywhere including library computers as the license for this software is expensive
