Question:

Research for global warming?

Do people who deny global warming ever do any research about it? How do they deny all the scientific evidence out there, and how can they explain the fact that scientists from all over the world who have never met have all come to the same conclusions?

And does the idea that we can affected our planet, and everything that lives here, in such a damaging and extreme way frighten you or make you not want to think about it? What is your motivation for not wanting to look at the science, or for complaining about the fact that Al Gore got paid to, well, WORK on this problem rather than complaining about the fact that we are creating pollution and a threat?

Please answer!

And please prove me wrong... I think all deniers are afraid to read the research, so please visit the following link and include something from it in your answer.. unless it's too scary....

  1. They do "research", but they don't seem to understand the difference between real science and personal opinions.  So they read op-ed pieces (normally by non-scientists) rather than peer reviewed scientific journals.  Or they read personal blogs rather than web-sites by actual science organizations (e.g. NASA, NOAA, or any major Universities involved in climate research).

The problem, is that people with little or no science training, assume they can spend an hour or two on google and then make an informed decision about a very complex scientific topic.  And in 99% of the cases, they're already convinced it's not true (probably because they listen to Rush Limbaugh or watch Fox  news) before they do any "research".  So the only purpose of their "research" is to find anything that seems to support their prejudiced view that global warming can't be true.

  2. Now that your old man is in the can and you have finally accepted that, it is nice to see you have taken up a hobby!  It will help pass the time

    Now about global warming,

    It is simple

Man does contribute to the phenomina, but very little

it is a natual phenomina that occurs naturally in nature

There is plenty of proof of this

    lots of junk science

but the fact remains that we see a similar phenomina occuring on Mars

Last I looked there is no Man on Mars

    No argument that man contributes

    BUT

Man did not create and man can not stop

You'd be surprised at the number of ANTI global warming sites out there, they all have solid scientific evidence too, unlike those that say global warming is happening.

As for the link that you had, its total c**p.  It all depends on a bunch of unknowns, such as if the cloud cover will trap heat in, or keep it out?

As some sea ice melts, even more is freezing!  The levels of ice towards the CENTER of the poles has actually increased more then the overall ice has decreased!!!

To add to this, water is the one exception to the law that states almost all mater contracts as it cools and expands as it is heated.  So this means that as water, or salt water in this case, turns into ice, it EXPANDS.  Because it expands there is more of it, displacing more water, causing the sea levels to rise!  Yet somehow the media has seemed to avoid discussing this point..........
