Research shows that black women have a much higher level of confidence then white women?

any ideas as to why that might be?

Probably because they have to deal with Black men all the time.

Part of it is because the older generations teach the younger girls to be that way. The struggles of white and black women are similar in ways, but still 2 completely different things. They both have to deal with sexism, ageism, etc. but the black woman also has to deal with racism, where the white woman doesn't.

And like the person above said (in a sense) part of it is the lack of constructive male interaction. Many black women end up having to do for self becasue of the absence of a male, whatever the reason may be. Growing up fatherless, being a single parent, and many other factors. These factors can have very destructive affects on the other hand as well.

But overall the factors I just mentioned would contribute to a boost, or deficiency, in a woman's confidence, regaurdless of race.

I guess it has something to do with black men in general.

Like it or not black men are messy, too many of them are in prison. Too many of them just want to get a little and git. Oh sure they run a good game. They behave for a while but as they get further along in a relationship, they tend to stray, keep a side woman, or just get plain whorerish. Not all of them are that way but a larger majority of them are that way than need to be.
