hello everyone!

hope u r havin a great day..!

i'm really interested in gaining some insight into other people's lives, so i'm doing a small project for my sociology degree in which i want to interview 3 people via email about how they see themselves living a happy and fulfilled life.

if u r interested please let me know and send me ur email. i still haven't sorted out all the questions yet but it will be very open ended; i'll send u a few questions first to which u can answer very freely, and will then ask you a few follow up questions in response to what i get from you. so in total there'll be an exchange of 3-4 emails.

i'm really curious bout what other individuals want to get from life, so if u wanna share your life with me for a bit that would be fascinating! i don't expect anyone to have a clearly defined idea of their happiness but just a willingness to explore personal feelings.

hope to hear from you!

  1. i love life. like dave chappelle says, I may like weed, but I love something else even more. And that something else I cannot live without.

  2. The key is knowing who you are and what you want. You can only find this out by constantly putting yourself "out there" and trying new things, traveling and meeting new people.

It also helps to be emotionally, financially and mentally independent. When you are not Co-dependent on relationships you'll find that life is much easier and better. You can have the luxury of only associating with people you ACTUALLY LIKE.. because you don't really NEED anyone to begin with.

  3. Hi Michela - Well, here's my perspective.  I a 24 year old self-centered independent young woman.  Single and with no children.  I recently got out of a 6 year relationship, which taught me a whole lot. After pondering about my life, I created my Pyramid of Happyness which consist of 3 major goals, ultimately reaching the peak of "Happiness".  My 1st goal is to "Fullfill myself" my second goal is to find "My Soul Mate" and my 3rd goal is to "Create a Family".  Of course, each of my major goals consists of a set of standards needed in able to accomplish each of my goals, and move my way up.  Of course, I'm still working on fullfilling myself.... and so far, so good!! I'm happy w/ the way I'm living my life... there is so much behind it....... if interested, contact me.  Good Luck w/ your research :)

  4. The real question is how does one live a successful life?

    According toYogananda, and paraphrased:

Your success in life...depends upon natural ability...determination to grasp the opportunity that is presented to you.

Opportunities come by creation, not by chance. They are either created now, or were created in the recent past, or the distant past, by you.

Since you have earned them, use them to the best advantage. You can make your life much more worth while now and in the future if you focus your attention upon your immediate needs and then use all available information, as well as your abilities, to fill them. All you need to do is develop natural skills and abilities

You have the power of thought and the power of will. These are forces which you use to some degree in every conscious act. Your attainment of any goal depends upon how effectively you use them. . . .

    You Control Destiny

Mind is the creator of your body and your circumstances. You must therefore see that it create those things which you determine you want. When you carry a thought with dynamic will power, you hold it until it assumes a tangible outward form. When your will power is developed to that point, you become the controller of your destiny.

    In other words:

       1. Choose a simple task, or accomplishment, you have never mastered and determine to succeed.

       2. Be sure you have chosen something constructive and feasible, then refuse to consider failure.

       3. Concentrate on a single purpose, using all abilities and opportunities to forward it.

But you must always be sure, within that calm region of your inner Self, that what you want is right for you to have, and in accord with God’s purposes. You can then use all the force of your will power to accomplish your object, keeping your mind, however, all the time on God — the Source of all power and all accomplishment.

  5. my life so far is getting better by the day

there was a time when daily life sucked, then I graduated

then life sucked when  I was at work, so I went to college

now my life only sucks when I can't get a date

  6. I have to agree with Mike T.. I had thought I needed someone in my life for years I am a single mother of two and have done it alone. I was raped in High School I never had s*x before in my life. I got pregnant with my son. I had plans on becoming something big in my life like being a Doctor or something. Then bang plans ruined where to you go from here when your parents support yuou in the wrong but right ways. I do believe I am the smartested in my family but my sister is not too far behind me she is almost right next to me. SHe is an RN assist in surgerey snd she was in the Air Force as a Nuclear

Weapons specialist. I had a baby my senior year. My son Is 20 drives a blue sports car Now my daughter is 12 she wants to be a Doctor. Her dad left us I own my home I bought it myself. I made the commitment if I have to eat Hot Dogs every day In order to own my own home I will do it. You know what I was happy with that decision so if I did have a hot Dog after that statement I would not complain because it was a Hot Dog. I have not eaten a hot dog sicle and I bought my house 8 years ago. 22 more years to pay on it. I took a course through the mail to be a Dental assistant when I was working as a nurses Aide. I was happy with that Nurses Aide job becasue I  could work lots of overtime and bring home over a thousand a week. You can be happy. Money does make you happy. I do not have that job anymore becasue the majority of people that work in a nursing home are not happy with their lives. God I wasn't because I thought it was a lousy job and everyone else did also till they realized I had alot. SOme girls followed me. I had to actually compete for overtime. You make decisions in your life and you have to think of the poossibilities and what would the outcome be. h**l I lost my job because of jealous people. I have been struggling but I have taken everything with pride. I had found a job making $25 and hour one day a week I am the Doctors Assistant I am very close with him. I also was another Doctors assistant and it closed.
