Reservation in India an interesting thought??

Question

Should we Indians demand that a few medals be reserved for Indians regardless of performance as per the reservation policy followed in India?? This way at least we can be assured of some medals in the Olympics.

Our justification could be that we Indians are so much used to reservation in all spheres of life that we find it difficult to win medals competing only on merit. So, we need this reservation and we need it badly!

We can have the senior leaders from Congress, Samajwadi Party, BSP, RJD, LJP, JD(S), Left Front and all the reservation supporting parties to take a petetion to IOA in support of our demand for reservation in Olympics for Indians.

Long Live India and the Reservation Policy in India!!!!!!!!!!

First of all the winners have worked hard to get there medals. Lets keep that thing apart and don't joke on this point...

Coming to ur say...I completely agree with u man. Reservation has ruined the policies in india.

I also agree to PoDoc's point good calculation !!. But my frend do u think the open category will get that 10 medals ?? In another 3 - 5 years there will only be some 5 % for the open category ( general category) hoping that they leave atleast that much (scared of this). It will only be the OBCs,Scs,STs, Gujjars, That community this community ..all sort of stupid communities will demand reservations-- Lazy fellows.

That looks reasonable...

Reservations should be allotted by the size of Population and Country.

India represents 15% of world population...in that case atleast(weak in maths) out of available 302 Gold, 40 should be reserved for India.

Out of 40,

10- open category

10- OBC

19- SC & ST

1- Gujjars

Those people did work very hard to get their medals, I don't think anyone should be reserved one because they would like one.
