Reservist wanting to help with hurricane ?

I’m in the Air force reserves and want to be involved with the hurricane stuff. Do you know if they call us (reserves) up along with the guard to help out? Or is it just a Guard thing?

I think so in my reserve unit they always look for volunteer's to help out but it might depend on your rate/MOS. they almost always look for medical, law enforcement, and construction.

I would suggest contacting your Chain of Command. I know as a Guard member if I let my CoC know that I wanted to help, they would do everything in their power to put me on orders and send me down there.
