I have a fillable PDF form I plan on posting for employees on my website. They should be able to type in form answers and print. When I upload this form, however, the data from the person who last accessed the form still shows up in the fields. How can I get the data to reset in the form fields every time it closes?

  1. Unless you wrote this pdf form in adobe acrobat.  Because if you wrote in in something else it will be difficult for printing and resetting.  If you have Acrobat then do what I did.  Find a found on the web and look at the coding.

Here is how to do it:  http://www.techdocs.ku.edu/docs/acrobat_...

  2. if all of your users are accessing it from the same computer, then it's because the browser is holding a cached version of it in it's memory and when someone looks at the form they see what has been entered before. Closing the browser will clear the browsers internal memory cache from holding the acrobat form.

You can also set your adobe reader to not save this form data in the browsers cache.  To do this, open the form in your browser. At the top of the scroll bar you'll notice a triangle pointing to the right. Click this, then select Preferences.  Go to the Forms category and uncheck the box that says Keeps forms data temporarily available on disk.

    That should stop the problem.

but if people are seeing this on different computers...I'm not sure. I've never heard of that happening before.
