Reset radio in 1997 jetta?

i put a new battery in my car. radio went into safe mode. i have the code but do not know how to rest the radio so it plays.,

it depends on what radio you have but either way you have a four digit code and there will be a button to press to put each number in.when you have put all the numbers in sometimes the screen has enter next to the button you have to press to start it if not pressing the fm/am button can also be used as enter.
