Resetting the radio in the car

Question

We changed(2001 Daewoo) the battery in the car and now the code to reset the radio will not take. The word cod---- comes up , but when you put in the code it just disappears and the cod---- comes back up. We tried pulling the fuse but that didn't change anything. Is there a way to bypass the code or is there a generic code?
