Resident Evil HD series priced and dated and Child of Eden’s Japanese release date
It’s another busy week in the world of video game announcements, as a number of titles have been confirmed and rumoured over the past seven days.
It seems publishers just cannot trust anyone else with their secrets, as retailers and CVs on websites continue to be the number one source of news for gamers, albeit without official confirmation from the publishers themselves.
Sticking with the trend, it seems that the psychedelic Child of Eden will be making its way across the Pacific Ocean and into Japan on the 6th of October. The news broke after the online retailer, Amazon UK, listed the game for release on that
date.
The game, which made its name as one of the most unique experiences on Microsoft’s motion sensing Kinect, will now be in the hands of the nation that gave the world ninjas.
The game will also be making its debut on Sony’s PlayStation 3 console, with a few additions thrown in for good measure and in order to keep the game fresh.
According to James Mielke, the producer on Q Entertainment, "It (Child of Eden) will definitely be worth the couple months that people have to wait for the PS3 version to get finished. People with PS3s, people with nice TVs, people with all kinds of control
options... it's going to be really cool."
The statement almost confirms PlayStation Move support and could even mean the game will be playable in 3D taking the already rich experience even richer. If the latter is true than the game which take places ‘higher’ (pun intended).
Moving on from an out-of-mind experience to one which has had generations of gamers needing a change of pants: Resident Evil.
It seems that Capcom want to scare the next generation of gamers, as well as bring their gems from previous consoles back to life in glorious High Definition, as they have announced the release dates for their upcoming HD remakes of the Resident Evil games
of yester-console.
Resident Evil Code Veronica X is set to launch on the 27th of September is expected to be priced at a slightly high 1600 Microsoft points. While not the most popular game in the Resident Evil game, it did have its moments, and it seems Capcom
saw enough in those moments to remake the game.
However, the game almost everyone is sure to want to add to their collection is Resident Evil 4, which was voted by a fair amount of the Earth’s population as one of the best games on the PlayStation 2.
Gamers can get their hands on Leon Kennedy’s nightmarish battle against the undead on the 20th of September for the same price as the Code Veronica X.
