Residential bi-law? mechanic working out of home garage

Question

A guy in our town is constantly fixing cars in his garage. He has his steady customers and word of mouth referals. Not one day goes by where there isn't a "Customers car' in his garage.

My questions are:

Is this legal?

Is there a bi-law regarding that?

Should he have to pay taxes to the town for using it as a 'business".

U must investigate your local city ordinances.  Many cities have regulations regarding operation of a commercial entity out of a residential property.
