Just watching the evening news, here in Reno/Sparks, NV; and watching shots of the terrible floods occurring there in the mid-west.

Was wondering how you were faring, getting by? Know it must be an awful experience for you; please accept my heartfelt condolences.

And am curious about a particular piece of real-estate in the St.Charles area; the Des Loges family estate: "Voisielles" it was called, or something like that - a replica of a French Chateux in the Loire valley of France.

I was invited there once - as a member of an audio-visual company - to shoot some motion picuture films.

As I recall, the estate bordered the Missouri river; had an underground ball-room whose windows opened out onto the river.

And was wondering if it had become completely inundated.

Any responses welcome,

Alberich

  1. Not there so I too feel helpless while so many people are loosing their homes.  This should teach people everywhere to take their infrastructure seriously.

  2. I too, have been wondering how the people there are fairing. I've been watching the weather channel, and it seems the flood stage St. Louis is in is at 30ft. and the  forecast crest is 38.7 ft.

My heart goes out to them as well.
