Resilient Tseng records yet another promising finish

With a solid finish at the Mizuno Classic 2012, current world number one Yani Tseng has once again showed that she is still as resilient as she was at the start of the current season.
Although she failed to rack up the title at the three-day Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tournament, a persistent performance in the third straight event appears to have opened
the way for Tseng to get back to a winning form.
Tseng posted an overall 209 to take the fourth position on the leaderboard.
Her best performance was seen in the third and final round where she fully capitalised on her vast experience and good weather conditions. She carded a 68 to rise from a tie-8 to fourth position.
The round on Sunday was the scene of nail-biting competition. The Taiwanese star did what she does best among a supportive crowd, grinding most of her nearest rivals in submission.
However, the second round saw the LPGA giant make several mistakes. Her putting looked rough once again as she missed several chances on the greens.
“I missed a couple putts. But I feel every day is getting better. The way I make decisions I think was a little bit better today. I mean I can always go lower with my score,” Tseng said.
“I don’t know why I got bogey on the last hole today. I did the same thing yesterday, I hit the second shot good but I don’t know what happened”.
Commentators said that if Tseng had played a little better in the first two rounds, she would have snatched the top position.
The top-ranked prodigy was greeted with excitement at Kintetsu Kashikojima Country Club, Shima-s**+, Mie, Japan, on Friday, as she boasts a massive fan following all across Asia.
After performing well at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship and LPGA Hana Bank Championship, Tseng was being widely considered the favourite to win the title at the Mizuno Classic 2012.
Observers have said that finishing fourth in Japan is not a downer for Tseng in any way, as her immediate goal is to pull herself together and get rid of losing form.
Although a win would have helped Tseng regain her unbeatable reputation, the coming tournaments will be more crucial for her as her fans have already got their hopes up after three strong
finishes in a row.
