Resistance 3 replaces as top selling PlayStation 3 game in United Kingdom
It has been seven days since we last reported that Resistance 3 had topped the week’s sales charts for PlayStation 3 games in United Kingdom, however, the gaming industry is such that things can change very quickly. Delaying its own Armageddon at the number
10 spot, Red Faction: Armageddon, is managing to stay in the top 10 of the charts as it continues to sell just enough to maintain its position.
Making a comeback is Guerrilla Games’ PlayStation 3 exclusive first person shooter, Killzone 3. The game is one of the best shooting experiences the console has to offer and combined with PlayStation Move and stereoscopic 3D compatibility, the game seems
to have enough to offer to keep gamers interested as it nears its birthday.
Making its debut in some style is Kratos with his High Definition remakes of two of his games in the God of War Collection Volume 2. It seems the God of War is still seeking vengeance and without any more gods to kill, it seems he has turned his attention
to the games charts instead.
Falling down one spot is Polyphony Digital’s imperfect masterpiece, Gran Turismo 5. The racing game is virtually never ending, if one takes in the number of 24-hour races it has to offer and keeps things fresh with weekly challenges. A must buy, or rent
at the very least for every gamer with a PlayStation 3, the game is riding the wave of its second coming. Well kind of.
The Rugby World cup is doing exactly what it was meant to and that is to sell as many copies of Rugby World Cup 2011, which comes in at number 6.
Using as many augmentations as it can to hold on to the number 5 spot, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is managing to maintain a consistent level of sales, which can only be good for its publisher, Square Enix.
While it may be topping the PC charts, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is not doing enough to keep up with the titles on offer in the console charts as it has to settle for invading the number 4 spot.
Starting things off in the top 3 is Ubisoft’s Driver: San Francisco, as it continues to enjoy another week of impressive sales and maintains a high position in the charts.
Resistance 3 was the chart topper for the previous week but it seems Joseph Capelli cannot keep up the resistance on his own forever, and has slipped down to the number 2 spot. Proving that zombies have a knack for taking over anything they bite, or rather
any chart they compete in, Dead Island is back in the number 1 spot.
