Respect Other Country's Customs?

Question

I work in a fastfood restaraunt in a U.S. State that borders Canada. Whenever people from Canada come in and eat they always leave thier trash on the tables instead of throwing it away.

I realize in Canada that is custom but it's not in the United States. Why can't you/they respect our customs and throw thier own trash away.

Just because that's custom in your country doesn't give you/them the right to leave the reastaruant's you eat at in America looking like a pig pen.

i hardly think its a custom!!! you need to come to the UK and see the state Americans leave our place in, if its custom for you yanks to throw your c**p away why dont you do it when you are in other countries?

Americans DO leave trash on the tables, they do leave it looking like a pig pen.

You are probibly very young and not used to working...EVERYONE leaves trash!

I highly doubt they are aware that that is a custom.. and are deliberately disrespecting it.

Why not put up a sign that says throw their own trash? They could be unaware of your custom. Some people are clueless.

Post a sign...they might do it or not.. but it is worth a good try

i dont think they realize that you have to throw your trash away but just ask them nicely once that in u.s you must throw your trash away after you eat or put a sign . i mean if no one tells them they will never know right.

its kind of like you going to canada and throw your own trash away , so if they dont tell you that you can leave your trash you will never know.

Fully agree with you. Go to a different country and respect the local customs. Too many visitors come here and want us to adapt to them.

That's rude. You know the old saying "when in Rome do as the Romans do". Yes, they should throw their trash out just as they see the Americans doing.
