  1. There have been some good answers so far. As a teacher I think it helps to remember that we are professional with the parents and other teachers we work with. Not just teachers with degrees but I include day care teachers, preschool and assistant teachers. We need to respect each person's ideas and methods. One thing that I think helps preschool and day care teachers is to have the children and parents address us by our last names, Miss Smith or Mrs. Smith or Ms. Smith. It helps remind others that we are professionals and not baby sitters. We know what we are doing and it is work we take seriously.

  2. Here are a couple of links that may help you the second one seems to have a better amount of info, but the 4th one has teaching methods for teaching respect to middle school students, I hope this helps you that is a hard assignment!

  3. my suggestion is to view the social, ethical and practical implications of giving and getting respect.  do online research.  it's really easy.

  4. write an SA

on respect bruv  like wif da hand blud =D

lol thats how ya take tha p**s =D lol

  5. Since you listed this in the preschool forum, I would assume you are looking for respect from 3, 4 and 5 year olds.  Start with respect starting at home and how their home life reflects on their behavior outside of home and in school.  How a teacher needs to earn respect and not demand it - we don't want the children to fear us - but to respect our authority. It's rare to get a child of that age that doesn't respect authority but it happens - we have had a few. Any child who tells you no or I want to play when it's time to pick is not respecting your authority. It's not a get in trouble behavior, it's a learning behavior which we are responsible for encouraging.   By the way we treat our preschoolers and their behaviors, we are intruducing them to respect in the classroom, and hopefully, to life.  Did I just write your paper?  sorry - I get wordy sometimes.

  6. I am a social worker in a preschool, and when we do parenting groups we use the book "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk" .  It's all about teaching parents and children how to communicate in a respectful way.

  7. why don't you write about yourself, of how you would use respect and when is the right time..... almost like an autobiography but not like about your life. Another way is like to tell a story with a moral of respect. Sorry if this doesn't help though.

  8. maybe u could write it about middle school kids. most of them have no respect anyway. trust me my 7th period class is terrible! hope this helps!! good luck!!!!
