If the number belongs to BSNL/MTNL or starting with 2, you can check up the address with the concerned city directory service of the company calling 197 or log on to BSNL/MTNL website, feed the number appropriately and find out the address on screen.

If the number belongs to a private telephone service provider and it is a landline connection, you can call up the respective customer service of the company and find out the address. For mobile or cell numbers, finding address with the number may not be possible.

Alternatively, simply call up the number and have the address!
